I just read the post in the Chilliwack progress. So sorry to hear about your mom. Audrey was one of the first people I met in Chilliwack. My husband Peter was a teacher at St. Mary’s. He came out from Newfoundland in 1981. Your mom was the secretary at St. Mary’s. She took Peter under her wing and picked him up for school every morning. Even after we were married she continued. She was a beautiful person and yes she loved to entertain. I remember she had decorations for every season and holiday. We often talked about Audrey and reminisced about her. I will have to go visit the cemetery. I know we met Lynn and Brian on occasion.
Peter died in March 2020. He was 65. We are having a funeral in September.
