So many fond memories of Karen when we were younger. We met at Landsdowne junior high in grade 9 and we became best friends and locker partners at Mt. Doug high school. I was new to Canada and she was one of my first friends. We would often hang out at Hillside Mall and I remember she came with me to get my ears pierced on ‘light up night.’ We both took our first jobs at the Mall - she worked at the cookie store, baking gourmet cookies, of course, and boy, were they good! She used to laugh and say that I was working hard and she was hardly working. We also enjoyed hanging out at McDonalds, local beaches, and shopping. We went horse back riding a few times and we may have even skipped school once or twice. We loved the Pina Colada Song, listening to The Cars, going to Dancers disco and dancing in our high heeled stiletto shoes, especially to the Boogie Oogie Oogie song.
May you Rest In Peace, Karen. You will be greatly missed. Thank you for being a such a good friend. ❤️
