Obituary of Theresa Katherine Gomez Avila

Theresa Katherine Gomez Avila passed away peacefully at the age of 67 on Monday, May 28, 2018, at Laurel Place Hospice, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Theresa was born on October 11, 1950 in New Westminster, BC to Otto Theodore Hagen and Katherine Patricia Hagen (nee: Zablocki).  

Theresa is survived by her loving husband, Alfredo, her children Anna (Larry), Natalia (Carl), Andrea (William), and Dion; and her seven grandchildren, Landon, Jonathan, Hudson, Hayley, Kayla, Lucy, and Connor.  She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Barry (Johanna), Leona, George (Diana), Mary (Brian), and Carol (Jim).  She is predeceased by her brother, Kurt.

Theresa was a positive, kind hearted, selfless person who dedicated herself to her family.  She was always there for the people she loved and found joy and happiness in the simple pleasures in life.
