Obituary of John White
John Daniel White
August 17th, 1957-February 27th, 2022
John passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love with his daughters and wife by his side. He is survived by his wife of 40 wonderful years, Eileen, and his daughters Caitlyn and Alyson; along with his siblings, nieces and nephews.
John was a model of integrity and was well respected in both his professional and personal life. He retired in March of 2017 from his profession as Superintendent of the Integrated Threat Assessment Unit of the BC Sheriff Service.
During his life John loved to travel and experience different cultures. He loved life-long learning in various topics. When at home in BC he was an accomplished gardener and coffee aficionado. His daughters loved going on mini adventures with their dad to various coffee shops, scenic walks and drives.
Throughout his life John enjoyed playing sports, from football in grade school to soccer, golf and hockey with his friends and brother. He was a fantastic couch ref for the Vancouver Canucks, always yelling out coaching tips and better moves the players could have made. When John was watching sports there was no getting his attention.
Everyone who knew John knew how funny and joyous he was. There was never a day that John didn’t have his loved ones laughing at his one-liners, skits and kind hearted insults directed at those he loves most.
John will always be loved and remembered by everyone who was lucky enough to have met him. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in John’s name to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada or The Bethel Apostolic Church who have been praying for John and his family since the day of his diagn
