FRAYNE, Susan Elizabeth
It is with both saddened and joyful hearts that the family of Susan Elizabeth Frayne announce her peaceful passing from this earth into Eternal Glory on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in Langley, BC at the age of 81. Susan will be fondly remembered as a woman full of love, compassion, and courage. Her love for Jesus and all people was reflected in her welcoming spirit toward everyone she met and in her commitment to deep personal relationships. Her example will live forever in our hearts.
Beloved wife and soulmate of Frederick Peter Frayne. Loving mother of James Bradford Smith, Darryl Robert Frayne, Jennifer Kathleen Frayne, Stella Christine Frayne, and Victoria Ann Frayne. Cherished grandmother of Chad, Kelton, Jeremy, Ian, Dylan, Justin, Jordan, Caleb, Thomas, Natalie, Hayley, and Ben. She was honoured to be a part of the lives of Peter’s children, Frederick Michael Frayne and Maggie Mulligan and their children Alex, Maddie, Colin, Sebastian, Claire and Angela. Fun-loving “Suzie Sunshine” sister of Richard Stephen Luckett and Kathi Foster Newman. Predeceased by her husband Frederick Peter Frayne (2021), her father James Stephen Luckett (1995) and mother Kathleen Forster Luckett (1995), daughter Jennifer Kathleen Frayne (1987), grandsons Kelton Bradford Smith (1994) and Jeremy James Taylor Smith (1994).
Susan expressed her love of life and her faith in God through the arts. She is remembered as a skilled dancer and actress in her youth, a painter, a patron of theatre and film, and an avid reader and recommender of literature. Knowing this, in lieu of flowers, we encourage you to express sympathy by supporting a local charity, theatre, artist, author, or bookshop.
In lieu of a Memorial service, the family is creating a memorial website to honor and celebrate the lives of Susan and Peter. Cremation and arrangements entrusted to Arbutus Funeral Service, 107A-20171 92A Avenue, Langley, British Columbia.
