What is Actually Involved in Pre-planning Your Funeral?

If you accept that death is a certainty, then pre-planning the funeral arrangement can be treated as a project for yourself, on which you want to put a stamp of completion. Perhaps the thought behind such pre-planning is to relieve the family of some of the financial and logistical stresses they have to deal with after the death of a family member.

It’s a good choice if you also want to ensure that the funeral arrangements are made as per your preferences. One may wonder whether one needs to work out every detail of funeral arrangements to the last dot. Actually, there is no need to be pressured for very detailed planning.

The first and the foremost aspect of pre-planning is the decision about the disposal of your body either through burial, cremation or donation. This is your decision and you must clearly inform your family members about it orally or through a written document.
