It isn’t very common for people to think about and plan for their funeral. However, this trend is now catching on and many people are showing an interest in pre-planning and pre-paying for their funeral. We at Arbutus Funeral Service have seen that there are a number of benefits to prepaying for funeral services such as:

  • When you decide to pay for your own funeral in advance, it takes the financial burden off of your family members’ shoulders. When a person passes away, family and close friends have to make a number of arrangements and plan the service. Sometimes they are unable to afford to pay for the funeral. Regardless of the situation, when you pre-pay for your funeral, you can rest assured the funeral home would make all the arrangements and handle all the aspects of your service.
  • If you are very particular about the way in which you want your funeral service to be conducted, pre-paying for it is one of the best ways to ensure that happens. When you prepay for a service and plan all the details in advance, you are able to choose every aspect including whether you want a cremation, a memorial service, a burial etc. In fact, this doesn’t read any scope for disagreement amongst all your family members.
  • When you prepay for your funeral, you’ve pay the current day costs. Regardless of inflation and escalation in costs in the future, the amount that you need to pay doesn’t change. In simple words, it means that you a paying today’s prices for tomorrow’s services.

If you would like to begin your pre-plan or have any questions about it,  just contact us or give us a call at (604) 888-9895. We at Arbutus Funeral Service will be happy to help.
