Obituary of Elaine Marie Chartier

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine Marie Claudette Chartier, our beloved mother and grandmother. Originally born into a large Quebecois family in Montreal, Quebec in 1946, Elaine moved to quite a few locations in her lifetime, including Toronto, ON, Phoenix, AZ, and Vancouver, BC. She ultimately settled in Surrey and Langley. Elaine worked as a bookkeeper for various local companies for many years before retiring in 2005. She enjoyed movies and music, playing games, spending time laughing with her family and friends, and playing with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberley, as well as her two grandchildren, Teagan and Spencer. In accordance with Elaine’s wishes there will not be a service and she has requested that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. A very bright light has been extinguished from our lives and we will miss her with every passing day.
